Discover Recacril Marine Canvas
Renowned for its superior quality and durability, Recacril, along with RecWater and DecorLine, is designed to meet the diverse needs of our customers, ensuring longevity and aesthetic appeal in every application.
Recacril: The Ultimate Marine and Outdoor Canvas
Recacril is a high-quality marine and outdoor canvas made from 100% solution-dyed acrylic fibers. These canvases are fade-resistant, mold and mildew resistant, and water-repellent. Available in over 40 colors, you’re sure to find the right fit for your project, whether it be boat covers, bimini tops, awnings, or other outdoor applications. Plus, Recacril marine fabrics are treated with Recasens' exclusive “Infinity Process” – a protective treatment for the surface of the fabric, allowing it to repel water and dirt more effectively, making these materials easy to clean and maintain.
RecWater: Enhanced Protection for Extreme Conditions
RecWater features the same face goods as Recacril with a PVC coating on one side, creating a waterproof material. RecWater has the same fade resistance, mold and mildew resistance, and water and dirt repellency as Recacril, with the added protection of a PVC coating. This material is particularly suitable for awnings and boat covers for those residing in rainy climates or areas with extreme weather conditions.
*Note: RecWater is heavier than most canvases, so the weight of the material should be taken into consideration when choosing hardware.
Recacril DecorLine: Stylish and Durable Upholstery Solutions
DecorLine is a lighter weight canvas made for the upholstery of exterior furniture such as patio chairs, lounges, cushions, patio umbrellas, and similar items. DecorLine addresses the common issues that many outdoor fabrics face: fast wear, fading, and deterioration due to exposure to the elements. Made with the same solution-dyed fibers as Recacril, DecorLine is more fade-resistant and durable, ensuring that your outdoor furniture remains stylish and vibrant for longer.
The Advantage of Solution-Dyed Fabrics
In solution-dyed fabrics, the raw material itself is dyed, adding pigment directly to the acrylic as it’s being made before it’s even spun into yarn. The color doesn’t just lay on the surface but is consistent all the way to the core of the yarn. This creates a fabric that is more fade-resistant, stain-resistant, and won’t bleed color. This method of dyeing also reduces water usage and energy consumption, making it an eco-friendlier option.
